Rusty's Meadow is more than just a photography location, it's a labor of love rooted in family, nature, and a rescued dog who started it all.
Named after our sweet boy Rusty, a rescue who traveled everywhere with us and filled every adventure with joy, this nearly 5-acre backyard escape was built to give photographers a beautiful, natural, private space to create. What was once just our own little slice of the world became something we couldn't keep to ourselves: a field dotted with wildflowers, swaying grasses, and tucked-away trees.
We're Savannah and Alex, the husband-and-wife duo behind the meadow. We share our home (and our hearts) with our two current rescue dogs, Bindi and Peaches, and our rescue cat Hagrid. While the dogs will never join you on a photoshoot, don't be surprised if you have a Hagrid audience during your session.
We wanted a place that felt alive, unhurried, and genuinely magical, and Rusty's Meadow is exactly that. I, Savannah, used to be a professional photographer and know how tough it can be to find a magical slice of land to take photos on, without it being in a busy public place, or costing an arm and a leg. I loved taking photos of clients out here, and now I am so excited to offer it to you for your clients, too!
Whether you're a portrait photographer, a couple looking for engagement photos, or a creative chasing golden-hour light through tall grass, this is your meadow too. Come wander, explore, and make something beautiful.
We can't wait to welcome you.
